Lynds was founded in 1983 as a small distributor of fasteners to the heavy truck industry and Provincial DOT branches in Nova Scotia. The Nova Scotia company grew quickly because of a reputation for excellent service and extensive stock levels. After only a few years the company had outgrown its original location and moved to its current location at 91 Polymer Road in the Truro Industrial Park. The building has gone through three expansions and now has 12,000 sq. ft. of showroom and warehouse space. From this location the business services both large and small industrial and Government accounts in mainland Nova Scotia, Cape Breton, Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick.

In 2011, Lynds was purchased by Casey Concrete in partnership with Bob Brown, the current General Manager. This purchase has provided Lynds with a solid corporate backing and renewed emphasis on growth and business development. Since the new ownership Lynds has installed a new Inventory Management and POS system to manage the 40,000 product SKU’s carried in stock. This system allows us to provide improved service to our customers and to be prepared for the new growth opportunities ahead. Now operating under the trade name Lynds Industrial.

Lynds has grown from 8 to a staff of 18 with over 200% growth in sales over the last 6 years. We have 5 sales people covering the Maritimes who provide VMI services to existing over 1000 accounts and develop new business.
